I seem to have hundreds of bookmarks given to me by bookstores, kids, etc. or bought by me because they were particularly cool. I keep them all but do so stuffed in random books. Each time I open or reopen a book, there's usually one or two bookmarks somewhere inside!

I don't purposely collect bookmarks and over the years I've just brought them home only to forget to returned them. The thought of collecting seems like a good idea to me now that I'm going to be a teacher.

I used to collect book markers but right now they manifest in the form of receipts, grocery lists and a wide mosh mosh of stray items.

There's nothing better than collecting bookmarks, to me -- only used ones, though! It has the same feeling as picking up a used book, the kind that looks like it's been handled by twenty different people, with its folded edges and coffee stains and water wrinkles. If you're lucky, someone might've even scribbled on it. Gives it a sense of human connection and love when you're reading through. Same with old chewed-up looking bookmarks, if I ever happen to see a stray one!

I always use bookmarks so I dont lose where I last read in a book ive been reading.

Plus whenever I go to the Barnes and Noble store I always buy at least one or two new bookmarks

Yes, I do! I have more than 20 of them. I like to have bookmark souvenirs from museums I visit.

Yes! I like to collect them because they're so pretty and creative, but I also tend to lose them a lot. No idea why, because I rarely use them.

Yes! I've collected tons of bookmarks, but I never use them. I just use a receipt or a piece of paper. I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm scared of losing them? haha

I used to before I started reading more ebooks. When I worked at Borders, it was always tempting to buy bookmarks off the rack whenever we got new ones in.

Honestly, I would like to, but every bookmark I use I lose except for a metal one that a friend gave to me. :lol2:

I've never collected book markers, I just fold the edges or place a sheet of paper where I stopped. Book markers are not so popular in my area.

I really love them and love to collect them, although when I bought my Kindle I stopped using them and eventually stop collecting. But I do have a few, maybe 15, of different types, colors, shapes, an even if I don't use them as much as I used to (now they just decorate my bookshelf inside a glass) I like to buy them on bookstores if I fall in love with one.
