No way, never! I was raised always to respect and take care of books. I have also never written anything apart from my name in a reading book ( books for study not included)

I've never thought of burning a book before..... It seems wrong somehow. Maybe I just haven't come across a book that needed to be burned :?

Never, never would I burn a book and never would I think of it. I believe in donating books that I don't want.

Never, though I was very tempted to this past winter. If my heating hadn't worked so well, I might have wound up using my copy of Stranger in a Strange Land to start a fire.

OMG.. I can't even contemplate the idea of burning a book. I have given away books to be recycled or have donated them to libraries.

Ahahahahaha. I don't know why I'm laughing, except asking a bunch of book lovers if they have ever burned books. It's like asking dedicated veterinarians if they have ever punted kittens... kind of, almost, but not quite the same, I suppose 0.o

Yeah, it is kinda funny, Gandalf!

"Oh, yeah, look at me. I burn books all the time."

As if.

Only for warmth in the winter of course. Otherwise it would be just wrong somehow.

I see it as a tribute to old, water-damaged books that can't be salvaged, but that could just be me.

What the heck??? They just burned the whole thing down? Like, right there in your house?

I do not burn books. Even I have never thought about it. And I have never come across any evil book.

Ive burnt them if they are completely shot and unreadable. I burnt two boxes full one time that mice had gotten into. They hold the heat in pretty good in a wood-burning stove.

The only writing I have ever burnt was to start a fire for a barbeque party, yet it was just a piece of a thick magazine.
