I would probably recommend the Harry Potter series as well. I really enjoyed it.

I would suggest books with short stories, or thriller books, or emotional books to evoke the reader within them. Or else I will ask which genre they are interested in and suggest books related to that genre.

I would recommend "Born a Crime" by Trevor Noah. It is a funny read. Someone who doesn't like reading would easily love this one.

A cooking book. If you don’t like reading, you might as well learn to cook well while I read. Snacking and reading goes well in my books ;) Team work is the dream work!

If someone who hasn’t read very much asked me where they should start I would probably suggest either very quality children’s books, like Harry Potter, some YA, or another book that is very interesting but simply written and isn’t too long. I feel like if someone wants to read but hasn’t before it may be because they’re intimidated, so something short and simple may be a good introduction to how enjoyable and fun reading can be.

I would recommend Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. It’s a really great page-turner book and a story about a young boy and all the adventures he had with his dog. I feel like it’s hard not to like the book.

Books about mental health might be something I would recommend for people who rarely read and for young adults.
