It depends. For me, I read faster books that I enjoy and am invested in. But in the long run, practice makes perfect. So I would think that the more you read, the faster/better you get.

No, it does not, speed reading is the reader's person choice. Many readers have trained themselves to read fast because they have other things to do. The busy ones are going doe audio books.

I would think so, but it’s better to take your time and ensure that you notice all the errors.

I think reading more books can increase your reading speed up to a point. However, once you reach that point, trying to push any faster will result in less comprehension and maybe less enjoyment.

I believe it does. talking about myself, the first I took a book to read it had 60 pages I could read ten pages a day only. But today I can read more than 100 pages in a few hours.

I would say yes it does. The more you practice your reading the better you will become and the more vocabulary you will learn. Making it easier and easier as you read

I think my reading speed was already set by the time I was 7, and that is because I have always been a reader and I managed to build my vocab fast. It can also increase speed by teaching you some words and combinations you might have needed to look at for a few seconds to make sense of. You start flowing better as you read but I also feel that we all reach a threshold, or maybe even stick to a preferred reading speed.

I want to say yes, but I feel like my reading speed has hardly increased even after reading so much, so I'd have to say no.

Anything you do consistently, you become efficient in it over time. When I started reading, I used to read 200 pages in 4 days. I kept on finding the duration reduce over time. Now I do 200 pages in just half of a day

Yes, it improves your reading speed. As you read more frequently your speed tends to improve over time. I have experienced this

I think it definitely does because sometimes I find myself deliberately slowing down my reading pace especially when I'm reading with another person.

Each book is different. One might be easier to understand than the other. What I believe is, reading a lot helps you focus and approach the book better. I don't really think it improves your reading speed. Besides, isn't the point to enjoy the book rather than finish it quickly?
