My next one is The Cleaner by New Zealand author Paul Cleave. Then, unless something jumps up between now and then, I will be reading either Crimes in Southern Indiana by Frank Bill or Poachers by Tom Franklin. Both are short story collections.

I don't really have an idea of what I want to read next. I have a box of books that I haven't read that I just reach into and whatever is pulled out is what is read. I like the surprise of it. I never know if I am going to get a mystery, or a YA, or a romance. It's very exciting.

I can never really pick just one and then it will take me forever to decide which one I will eventually read. Now it's between Afterlove by Tanya Byrne, Vassal by Liv Savell and Honey girl by Morgan Rogers.

A Soldier's Revelation: Just War by Tom Newman. It's the first of three books written by Tom Newman who was a paratrooper during Viet Nam. I met him at a gun show where he was signing the books that he sold. It was pretty loud with all the reenactments going on but it was interesting chatting with him for a bit! I think (hope) that I will really like the book!

I sometimes know for sure that 'X' is my next book, but it almost never is.
Somehow I'm not able to read books in a certain order. It depends on my mood, how busy I am but mostly on the book I finish which book will be next.

I cannot put this series down. Terry Goodkind's The Sword of Truth series is the largest collection of novels that I have ever attempted to read from beginning to end; more than ten novels in the series. I am pages away from finishing Phantom (2006), next is Confessor (2007). In the past, I have never been interested in the Fantasy genre; Goodkind has changed that. I enjoy delving into Goodkinds' creation, a world consisting largely of 'regular' people. The military aspect is familiar and believable.
Phantom waits for me now less than two feet away.

I have a problem that I believe most bookworms have, it's buying a lot of new books before finishing the one that we currently read (for me it's "The green mile" by Stephen King). My top two picks are "The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo" by Taylor J. Reid and "Metamorphosis" by Frantz Kafka. It's two very different choices, but I'm excited about both of them.
