Although I read both indoors and outdoors, my favourite spot to read is definitely under the trees outside (and usually on my hammock).

I like the idea of reading outdoors but in reality I usually get too distracted by heat and bugs

I usually prefer reading indoors or on the bus when travelling long distance.

Both! I love to read on the beach or on my patio but I also love to read in bed or on the sofa with my dog snuggled up to me.

I prefer reading indoors. A very quiet environment where I won't be distracted

Indoors, generally. Although, sometimes when is really sunny and warm I enjoy reading outside with a cold drink. But by default, indoors (less noise, less options of something ruining my book, etc).

Outdoors in nature. I'm a Canadian expat living in a tiny village in sublime Croatia surrounded by forest, olive groves and vineyards. My distractions are church bells chiming in the distance, buzzing insects, a cacophony of songbirds and deer calling. Of course I must check my flowers multiple times each day. Absolute serenity and peace. A reader's paradise.

I prefer reading indoors because of less distraction and noise.

I prefer reading indoors, because reading outdoors can sometimes be stressful. I have a hard time with insects and traffic noise where I live, so I would just rather stay indoors, being comfy in my room, and read to my heart's content.

If it is peaceful, outdoors. I like feeling the breeze and it's calming. Most of the time I read indoors.

I read both indoors and outdoors. I do enjoy reading on my back patio while my dog gets his zoomies out in the backyard, but I live in Florida and can only stand the heat for a total of 30 minutes so I'll head back inside when the sweat starts dripping on my book. :icon-lol:

I will read whenever and wherever I get the chance. However, I am easily distracted, so I would prefer a quiet and relatively low-traffic area if I was going to read outside. That said, I have been known to savor some light reading material at the beach or pool in the summer.

That sounds so peaceful. I just ordered a hammock for under my big oak tree in the backyard and I can't wait for it to get here!

It depends. Sometimes, when I feel like being alone, I like to read indoors and curl up in my sofa or bed. And sometimes, when I feel like having some fresh air and being around people but at a distance, I prefer to read outdoors.
