Have you ever met your favorite author?

I've always wanted to meet J.K. Rowlings. I love her Harry Potter books, but alas I have never met her. I'd like to know if anyone has met their favorite living author? What did you ask, what did they respond back?

I met Cleveland Amory at a book signing. He jokingly proposed to me and I said, "Sure!" Maybe I should let my husband know...

My favorite author passed away many years ago. I would have loved to have met him and asked him about his show-stopping series. Robert Jordan wrote the Wheel of Time series, but he passed away before the series was finished. He enlisted Brandon Sanderson to help write the final 3 books, but Jordan made sure that he wrote the major scenes and ending.

Unfortunately, I never got to meet Anne Rice before she died. I did get to meet Deborah Harkness though, author of A Discovery Of Witches and the All Souls Trilogy, and she was wonderful. She was incredibly kind and friendly. It was an amazing experience.

I have. The Indonesian national book titled "NKCTHI", I think it's enjoyable to meet and share stories about their writing process. I also met some book editors, and that experience was quite enjoyable for me.
