If a book is about a sad event or the character suffers, then I definitely shed a tear. I hate doing that because then i usually get a headache.

It depends on the book, the genre and the style of writing. Some stories manage to touch me, while in others I find it difficult to read.

Yeah, it does. Just like movies do too. I have cried, laughed out loud and gotten angry while reading books. Man, do I love reading

Yes, reading a book makes me put the characters in my mind as I am reading and that makes it personal.

Yes, it does especially when I understand what a character feels on what he/she has gone through.

Yes, It does. Connecting with characters and understanding their emotions is what makes a good book.

Good books can really make a lot of impact. I have cried for a book before, so yes it does. A good book should.

Emotions and feelings are the common thread which all humanity can relate and understand regardless of their background. A book that does not stimulate your emotions is one that doesn't get finished.

Absolutely. I become so immersed it's as though I'm physically transported. My emotions are fully invested in most books I read whether it's grief, anger, joy, jubilation, relief, sadness, happiness, shock...

Yes. The books that stay with me are the ones that make me feel the most. And not always good emotions - some of the most memorable are the most shocking and have changed the way I think about things.

I get really invested in the characters of a book if they have been developed well.
