Looking for a series

Hello, all... well i'm looking for a teen well actually not even that, a young teen series of books, fantansy...I read it years ago... and I wanted to suggest it to a kid i'm mentoring....it''s about two twins with certain power stones embedded in there skin and depending on what kind of stones thats the powers they have, and the more stones the more powerful of course... I know it's only about six books in the series but thats it...Would be very grateful for some help
