I usually enjoy longer series because I get attached to the characters and don't want to let them go. However, sometimes if a series or book drags on too long I actually lose interest and need to take a break. That being said, I do enjoy short stories as sort of a palate cleanser between reading different series.

It doesn't matter to me. The content of the book is what matters most.

What your opinion/preference? I myself have always enjoyed a good series where I witness the growth of characters and story lines. I have never been one for short stories but maybe I havent given them enough of a chance. Whats your opinion? Are there any short stories you would recommend?
Short stories are great. It’s easier to start and finish a book in a sitting. But novels have more details and narrates event in full. Novels are great too. I choose short stories anyway.

I prefer all of them equally. I try to mix them up. If I read a really long book, I will pick short fiction or short book to break the routine.

Depends on the plot. Some authors make things to short and others draw it out.

It depends on the quality. Relativity theory; it feels like a few minutes, to read a 500 paged fantastic book and a year for rubbish 50 paged novel.

I prefer novels. They give me enough time to bond with the characters and usually leave me satisfied.

I prefer longer novels, and if it's a series it's even better. I love getting lost in a series and I'm often disappointed if I reach the end too quickly.

Depends. A good story is a good story regardless of length. But I generally prefer books with less than 400 pages. On occasion I try longer books, and I often find it rewarding. I'm just not a long-book person though.

When it comes to books, I don't have a preference. I read anything. It doesn't matter if it's a long story or a short story I would read it all.

I don't think I like short stories. I haven't tasted them enough. I enjoy novellas and some times long novels.

I like longer books, because they give the characters and the events more time to shine.

I prefer long standalones or series I suppose. I rarely get as invested when I read short story but there are always exceptions. Also, short stories that I enjoyed makes me want to have whole series in the same world/with same character/with same theme etc.
