It's interesting how many replied ''Gone with the wind'', I've had it in sitting on my shelf but I haven't yet picked it up. It doesn't look like it has many pages at all. The longest one I've read is Outlander by D. Gabaldon. The edition I own (written in tiny font and small margins) has about 900 pages.

Well, I have read the whole Bible, which is definitely the longest work I've ever read.

The longest novel I've ever read was Pillars of the Earth.

The longest book read for me as well is Harry Potter. I would like to get into reading longer books again but I am a somewhat slow reader and my schedule is crazy.

Has anyone here made it through all of 'Remembrance of Things Past'?

I can't be certain but I believe "Crime and Punishment" is the longest one I've read.

There have been quite a few long books I've read, some being Les Miserables, Crime and Punishment, a couple of Dickens' novels, and even Harry Potter.

The Atlantis Grail series by Vera Nazarian are long books. Over 300,000 words.
Then I'm in the middle of Stephen Kings, IT which is long and also The Game of thrones books are long.

I don't remember how many pages, but I think the longest for me was Atlas Shrugged. Luckily I really enjoyed it or I don't think I would have made it through.

It seems Shogun, Gone With the Wind, and It are the longest books I've read. All coming in at a bit over 1000 pages in the paperback editions.
