Why do YOU read?
Why do you like to read books? And what is it about reading, itself, that makes you want to read?

"In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you." (Mortimer J. Adler)

Good points. I do like to explore different cultures and see life through different eyes and reading provides that opportunity. At the end of the day though, I just love to read; it's my favorite hobby.L_Therese wrote:Sometimes I choose books to read because they will open new ways of looking at the world, teach me something new, or in other ways edify me, but when it really comes down to it, reading is just a hobby I enjoy. I read for fun.
