I would be more intrigued. I would look up the book on Goodreads and look at the reviews most likely before purchasing.

I'll read the description then decide whether I want to read it or not.

If many random people express the same feeling towards the book, I will give it a go.

I will read it, but of course that random must not provide spoilers.

Yes. To see if it is as good as the person says and to satisfy my curiosity.

I don't know. It depends how convincing a person can be. Usually it takes 3 or 4 solid recs for me to be convinced to give a book a try.

If some more random people said it was good, then I might think about it.

I would check it out, if someone random recommends a book to me, to see if it suits my taste.

Yes, I have read books recommended by random people. Some I found in comments under youtube or Reddit or websites like OBC.

Anytime anyone recommends a book I always do my research on it then decide if I want to read it. I take all recommendations doesn't mean I read all.

No! he/she must have a good reason for that, and I must check it first.

I might give it a try. I have done it before and like the book and other times I have hated it. All I can do is look into it and try the first chapter.

Yes and I have done. I recently read In The Realm of The Hungry Ghosts" by Gabor Mate on a recommendation from a lady I met briefly on a bus!
