After you read a book you usually have a false sense that you know everything in the book but just a few questions from the book quickly reveal that you have no idea what you are talking about. Depending on the type of content and how much of it you want to remember i would say from 3 to 15 times.

Depends on the purpose, instructional books are to be read as many times as possible. But literary ones only when I love the book.

I never re-read a book because I have so many books to read and the length of my book list is increasing quickly.

I re-read many of my favorite books all the time, and I usually don't get bored from them. For example, my favorite series I've read probably 15 times in the last two to three years. I am trying to read my stack of books that I need to get to, however I always end up buying new books.

Rarely! It must have been a book that influenced me a lot, or I had a good reason to reread it.

I don't re-read books quite often, only when I found the book(s) too exciting and mind-blowing.

I find it hard re-reading a book. I only reread books when I don't have new ones to read.

Normally it depends on how captivating the book is. That is when i will read it the second time. After that i close that chapter and move on. There are way so many books for me to dwell on a book more than two times.

Yes! Same! I have so many books that are recommended, and there will never be enough time to read them all.

Re-reading is much like re-watching a movie for me, if the movie or book truly stood out, it'll merit a re-read. I read multiple books at once, so its not a big deal to re-read something that I like.

Oh yes absolutely! Some books are just too good to read once. I read most books by Chimamanda a couple of times for instance and I actually understand them a bit differently especially after reading them after a while.
