This might be embarrassing but i do skip few pages if i feel like the chapter is getting boring or some times just skim through the pages. I am a very impatient person too, always want to get to the ending if the book is interesting as soon as possible so i just turn the pages without reading each and everything.

I don't really skip pages just because I feel like there would be a hole in the story somewhere if I did. However, I do have a bad habit of peeking over to the next page or the end of the chapter. I've caught myself several times, and every time it happens I internally scold myself. It's usually how I reveal spoilers lol

I would never do that while reading a book. Somewhere I read that that it is like a sin to skip pages while reading. Either I don't read the book at all or I read it page by page. I never take this route of skipping the pages.

No, I don't skip pages while reading a book. I think it's very crucial thing to do when reading because you may skip important scenes that may affect the story. :)
Stay safe! Sending hugs

Yes, there were times of this happening. Sometimes, when the plot is slow, I skip pages just to know what happened next. But if I feel that I missed something when I skipped pages, I return to that point and peruse it again to find what I have missed. I have also skipped pages when I came across boring dialogues or monologues.

I read every word and every page unless I've read the book before, or the book is nonfiction. Lot of nonfiction books even state you can or should read out of order and only what you need. If its a fiction being read for the first time, however, I feel like I've done the author a disservice by skipping pages.

Whenever I skip pages because I can't stand the suspense, I go back and read the parts I missed, before moving forward.

It depends on the relevance of the content, but I hardly jump pages or chapters.

No because skipping pages may lead you to miss vital information (especially if it's a story book). I personally don't understand why people would do this unless if it's a school text book or a dictionary where you'd skip to the chapter/page with the information you need. If the book is boring i'd just stop reading it altogether to save my time instead of skipping through and not benefiting anything out of it.

When I'm researching a topic and using reference books, such as encyclopedias, I skip pages.
