I don't because I use it to listen to music while I read, but I do put it on do not disturb.

No, I do not turn my phone off when I read but if the book is interesting enough to get my undivided attention, I may put the phone on silence mode.

I don't turn my phone off but I put it on silent so that I don't get distracted when a notification comes.

I used to ignore calls while reading, but now that I have a job and a kid, there's too a big a chance that the call is something that needs to be addressed right away.

Yes I do turn off my phone when I read cuz I mostly read ebooks and I don't want any interruptions whatsoever.. Do not disturb mode does the trick.

My phone is on do not disturb basically 24/7. I just graduated college, and most of the time notification noises were going to be bad anyway, so it was easier to just never have them. The important people have special exceptions to do not disturb, and I turn it off if I'm expecting an important call, but I generally think of my phone as a tool and choose when to check it and when I don't want or need it.

That depends on the book definitely. I put my phone on silence and keep it within eyesight and just ignore it if necessary.

If I absolutely have to take it, I'll probably sound grumpy all through the call.

I don't turn my phone off but I do make sure to turn the screen away from me. It can be distracting to see messages and notifications pop up.

I don't turn off my phone. If I do that, my phone would be off for a good part of the day as I read almost all the time. But I definitely disconnect myself from the world.

I don't do this, but maybe I should consider it. I don't think I get too easily distracted while reading, though sometimes I do catch myself glancing at notifications and scrolling through social media while reading. I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing, however; when I glance up from my phone and remember that I have a book in front of me, I get a rush and remember how much I'm enjoying the book and how great it will be to continue reading it.

I don't turn off my phone and I don't even mute it. I do a lot of reading using my phone itself
