No, I'll just ignore any incoming calls or messages unless it's important.

Lately I have been able to do most of my reading via the Kindle app on my phone - so there's no need to turn it off. Also, as a parent, having my phone on is vital in the event the kids need something.

I do not turn off my phone when I read. My type A personality makes me think I might miss something important. I will check what comes in and if it does not require an immediate response, I will wait until I am finished with a chapter to respond.

No, I don't turn off because all my books are ebooks and store in my phone. But I wish I have many physical books too.

I'm afraid I never turn my phone off. In the cinema, for example, I put it in flight mode, or if I'm sleeping on not disturb, but I never turn it off...

Yes! I most certainly do! It is important to approach books with a singular purpose. I know that multitasking is a great skill. However, undivided attention is necessary to respect authors' efforts. It is necessary for full comprehension. Stories come, and go. I want to recognize what stories mean, while I are still looking at them. There is always time to consult the answering machine.

Of course, No phones, No TV, No noise...I hate reading with any kind of interruption, this can you disconnect you from the book and then you have to read again.
