No- for the simple reason that these days I use my phone as a reader :)

I have never turned my phone off and I don't think I would ignore calls, but I don't always answer text messages while I am reading.

Can't switch off my phone since I do most of my reading on it, but if I'm in a really engaging part of the story, then I just turn off the internet connection and put it on silent.

I don't have a cell phone, just a landline, so I really don't worry about a lot of people calling me. It is mostly just telemarketing, and everyone pretty much knows that if I don't answer the first two or three times, then I am reading, and to keep calling if it is urgent, but I will call them back(:

I don't turn off my phone when I read because I never know what call might come in at that particular period.

I don't turn it off but I ignore it. My phone is almost always on vibrate anyway.

I have kids and relatives and work to do, I usually don't have the luxury to completely ignore any of them.

I don't turn my phone off. It's not hard for me to concentrate on reading without getting distracted by a notification or something like that. Actually, I use my phone all of the time to understand vocabulary and expressions within a book, so, no, I'd rather keep it on actually :)
