I hear this about it all the time! I haven't read it yet but I find it intimidating because I know how sad it is.

There's a book titled Frustrating Fascination. It had some explicit description of stuff I wasn't comfortable with.

The Stand was very disturbing as was the end of Thriller, also by Stephen King. I also found American Psycho to be incredibly messed up and increasingly as the book went on.
