As much as I love libraries and want to support them, I HAVE to own my books. I've been collecting them religiously since I was in first grade, and it is so hard to give them away.

I usually check out books from the library if I'm reading them for the first time. However, if I really like the book then I'll buy it later.

I prefer owning it to going somewhere else to go get it.

I prefer library books. Unless the book is worn down and very dirty, I don't mind. If the library doesn't have certain books, then I choose to buy it from a bookstore. The way that I see it, I don't like to spend money on something that I could borrow for free.

I prefer to own my books. There's just something about having a book that is yours and that will be there in your bookshelf in case you want to read it again. There's also no pressure to finish it and return it. I also love seeing all those books in my room.

I prefer to own my books. So when I borrow, I tend to buy my own copy if I really enjoyed reading it.

Library (Overdrive ebooks and Hoopla audio-books). I read over 100 books a year and the cost would be insane if I bought them all. I'm also a minimalist and the thought of having books piled up around my house makes my eye twitch, lol :)

Whilst I have borrowed books from the library in the past, I prefer owning the books. I love having them on my bookcase and being able to take them out and admire them and then reread them whenever I want to!

I love the library, but sometimes they just don’t have what I’m looking for, so I will buy in that case. Aside from that guideline, if it is in the budget to buy books I would prefer my own. I think I borrow about 5-8 library books a month but usually read about 20 total. Some are e-books but I really prefer to have a physical book to hold...I’m “old school” that way!

Owning for sure. If I could have every surface covered in a bookshelf full of books I owned I would.

I have no choice but to own my books. Libraries in the Philippines are not that good.
