When you read a book, you get accustomed to the way that certain people talk, and you find new words. Books not only present you with new vocabulary knowledge, but also help you remember those words, because you meet the same word at least 10 different times in a book

For me it's helped to identify writing styles I like and dislike. Also, the more I read, the less I have to resort to a thesaurus when my writing feels boring.

I have been reading for many many years, it has helped me with my vocabulary and spelling. Kids from school would usually ask me if they didn't know how to spell certain words.

Reading surely does improve your vocabulary and thinking process as well. I always say a good reader makes a good writer.

As a non-native English speaker, reading books helped me improve my English and vocabulary. I didn't take any language courses. but I depended on reading books of different genres to improve my language.

It has helped A LOT. I've been reading since I was a child, and I've never had any problems with my classes or putting my thoughts into words in general. There are definitely times that I know a vocabulary but I don't consciously know what it means, but I know how to use it. In general, I think reading is just a great way to become fluent in a language

As you can pick from my grammar English is not my first language. Everytime I found new words in a I am reading I will write them down them in the last pages of the book. I think that have helped me a lot. I think I have to apologize authors for wrecking their books

Reading has helped my vocabulary tremendously. I don't know what I would do without reading. Because of reading I can comprehend words better. Sometimes I don't know what a word means but because of how much I read I know how to use that word in a sentence. So it helps me really impress people if that makes sense.
