How Organized is your book shelf? ( if at all )

Alphabetical by Author, Genre, title, ? etc, or just haphazardly thrown in...

Usually by series, so author, but organized isn't exactly the way I would describe it. Not alphabetized, and books are not standing up, just in whatever position makes them fit on the shelf!

I have all of my books loosely organized by genre or subject, with books within the same series right next to each other. I'm kind of a type A person who usually likes neatness, but I'm laid-back when it comes to my bookshelf. I guess that's because I strongly believe that reading should be a fun and relaxing pastime.

My bookshelf is organized by subject. All my reference materials are grouped together and then they are organized by subject after that. It is the same with the rest of my books, all the fiction and non fiction reside in their separate groups then grouped by subject matter and/or author after that.

My book shelf is stacked two deep. So in the front at one end I have the books I have not read yet, and at the other end are books that I really enjoyed or books that have a special meaning to me. The ones I hide in the back have absolutely no order to them, and I most likely own books that I have completely forgotten about because they have been hidden for so long.

I have my favorites organized by author, and then series within the author, but when I run out of room the books go wherever they will fit.

My bookshelf is in alphabetical order by author. I did though separate all of my "to be read" books. They are also alphabetized but I literally have a "to be read" section which has really helped me conquery reading! I like having them this way.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

Now my books all fit into boxes, so they are really just put in there in any way that they will fit, but I try to keep the same authors together, and all the textbooks together, So kind of by genre and author I guess.

Extremely organised. I like taking care of my books. Bigger sized books, YA and crime ones on the top shelf, paranormal romance on the second, followed by my writing and research books, historical, modern and my Manga. And by author's name. Everything fits nicely everywhere so that I can maximise space for more books. They are all stacked up neatly without damaging the others. My bookshelf is the one thing in my room that's well-kept. People have jewellery that they care for, I have my books. They're my gold.

I have another shelf in my room for books that I like to reread over and over and that can never get old to me, some of these books are about to fall apart now ha :)

Mine use to be pretty and organized, but now my bookshelf is too small for all of my books so I kind of have a book floor now...
