What book have you given as a gift?

Post by Marsha JJ »

Sometimes books are so good that you want to give them to someone else just so you can share the experience. One book I have received and also given is "The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey" (by Candice Miller) about Roosevelt's journey down an unexplored part of the Amazon River. This was an absolutely fascinating book, and I happened to read it while on the Amazon River, so it made the book even more fun to read. What book have you enjoyed giving as a gift?

I gifted my small sister the Babysitters Club series. I loved these books when I was younger and I felt she would also enjoy them.

I have given lots of books as gifts and presents to a lot of people. One of the books I have given out is 'How to pray Effectively' by Rev Chris Oyakhilome. It is a very powerful book about prayer that no one will love to miss.

I have given lots of people presents and most of them have been books. One of such books is Rhapsody of Realities Topical Compendium by Rev. Chris Oyakhilome. Another one is the Richest man in Babylon. These books are very powerful.

I gave a close friend a copy of All The Light We Cannot See and she really loved it. She enjoys historical fiction and likes sadder books, so I found this to check all the boxes.

I gave a lot of books to my friends as gifts. Most of them are in different languages. But the one that I received as a gift from my parents and gifted to my sister was One Thousand and One Nights " Arabian Nights". It was my favorite book in my youth.

I've given a lot of books to my friends ! But one that I gave out of just poor compassion rather than giving them a book because of a celebration was John Green's Turtles All The Way Down. I didn't enjoy Turtles all that much, but I figured my friend would gain a lot from it
