yes all the time! When I was little I would get in trouble because I would stay up late reading. My mom would take my book as punishment, but I kept an extra one hidden under my pillow!

I am guilty of the "one more chapter" thought. It happens every time I decide to read before bed.

I have done that several times to the extent that I usually battled with sleep itself.

Yes many times. I could read all night long just to finish reading a good story.

There are some interesting books that doesn't lets me stop reading and hence I would happily sacrifice the sleep and read it further.

I have never sacrificed my sleep over a book, but reading a book a bit late in the night, yes I have.

I always tell myself after this chapter I will sleep but I end up reading more and more chapters.

Always. I tell myself that I'm going to read just one chapter before sleeping and the next thing I know it's 2 am. Time flies at an unbelievable pace while reading especially at night when there is so much peace and silence.

A couple of times. I just had to know how that book ended. And then I went ahead and overslept.

I do it all the time. I also now listen to some books on Audible and I will set the sleep timer so that it will go off and I am supposed to be trying to go to sleep while that is happening, but it never fails. As soon as the story stops I turn it back on and rehit the sleep timer...kinda like a snooze button but in reverse.

I've chosen reading over sleeping many times in my life. The first time was when I was a teenager. I can get so immersed in a book that I just lose track of time completely. I have to be mindful of that these days since I have to get up early and go to work.

Yes, I remember my first time reading Sidney Sheldon's books; I was so immersed in The Doomsday Conspiracy that I didn't realize everyone had gone to sleep and I was left alone at 2am. I read the entire book in one and a half days. After that I decided to regulate myself a little. But every now and then I overindulge.
