The perfect reading spot

Post by SparklingOne »

The other day, I saw a picture of a closet which had been turned into a reading oasis. (http://www.paintedbyprestige.com/how-to ... ding-nook/) It made me wonder what everyone here would choose to create if they had the resources to do so.

I would say probably Church, so I could have something to do during the sermon.

That's an excellent place. Doesn't get much more peaceful and beautiful than that. Also its already built!

Those cozy reading nook photos always make me drool. How I would love to have one in my home!

I love to read outside.....on my deck, at the lake, in the park......

I recently saw something on a morning news show about "man caves" and "she sheds." On the show, they had people from Home Depot build "dream" versions of each one. It got me thinking about what my dream she shed would be: a cozy space with a comfy chair and bookshelves lining the walls!

In my room I have smaller square next to my closet that is off to the side of the rest of my room so I blocked it off with book shelves full of books and I have an amazing armchair and carpet there as well. I call it my reading corner. I love it because its quiet and i'm surrounded by other books!

My perfect reading place is laying down on the couch. I also enjoy sitting in my studio, with a hot cup of coffee or tea by me, and laying down in my bed at night. These are all peaceful places for me, and I can do my best reading when I am relaxed :)

I have a pretty easy time getting lost in the fiction novels I read, so I find that just about any place I choose to read works for me. :)

I did think that closet-turned-reading room was pretty awesome though! I'd build one if I had an unused closet, for sure.

Outside on a warm sunny day while my kids play in their kiddie pool. Otherwise, I would be thrilled to have a little reading nook. :)
