I do. It's really interesting to read what led an author to finish his/her work. Not only that, you get to know the author and sometimes you learn that on some levels, you can actually relate to them. But I don't read the entire Acknowledgement section though. All the names are kind of hard to get through.

Very rarely and usually only after finishing the book. If the book really grabbed my attention, I'll usually go back and read the acknowledgment page.

I do. It tends to give me a little peek inside who the author found the time to devote that page to, and often times it's very heartfelt and sweet.

Yes! I find it really interesting and each one is totally unique and I just like to see what's sorts of things the author acknowledges. And apart from anything if it were me and I took to the time to write and acknowledge people and things I'd like people to read them.

I always do, but only after I've finished the book, just in case there are any spoilers. Unlikely, but you never know.

I always read the story before the acknowledgments or dedication for a couple of reasons. First, they don't make much sense oftentimes without the context of the book since there are usually references to the text in there. Secondly, I don't want anything to bias me one way or the other about the content of the story since the author should be secondary to the content.

I like to read them most of the time, as I feel it helps you get to know the author outside of the context of the world they have created.
In my own books, acknowledgements are there to honor those who have contributed to my work, and I don't get offended if readers skip it. Those whom it was meant for read it.

I'm the same way. If the book was amazing, I take a look at the acknowledgements, but I usually skip them if it's a book I'll likely forget about soon. I do read the dedications and an Author's Note if there is one, and for fiction, I read Introductions and Afterwords both after I've read the book for myself, since intros tend to give too much away.

I generally don't read the discussion questions, though, especially if the book really took me someplace I'd like to linger for a while, as discussion questions take me out of that place and make the book "a story" again before I'm ready. :D

Usually I do, as it gives a little insight to who inspired the author and helped the author move the story or to write the story and who gave them that belief and its really refreshing to see sometimes that authors can have a whole page of acknowledgements as it shows a lot of support around them.

It depends. Sometimes I'll take the time to read them, but half the time I'm too excited and quickly find the first page so I can get started right away!

Yes I think the acknowledgment page is one of the most important pages in a book. It tells who the inspiration and personal cheerleaders are! Without their support the story could have never been written.

In the past I've deemed it mandatory. Now, it's reserved for certain genres.
