Can you do multitask while reading

Actually that depends on the book. If the book is very complex, I cannot multitask while reading. I simply won't be able to concentrate on the book. I will read the same line again and again but not grasp anything.

I can read while eating if that counts as multitasking. But not always, only when I'm reading a books that really interest me and it makes it hard to put it down for a while.

As much as I love to read, I don't like staying still for very long. So sometimes I have to pace. Movement coupled with reading really helps me out.

I can multitask while reading, though I like to give myself the ability to fully absorb the things that I'm looking at while I'm going through them, and putting my investment into two things at once vastly cuts down on my ability to enjoy either one of them.

A strange exception is when I listen to music with words in them, since (being an audiophile) music shuts me down completely in regards to everything, and I can't read or write while listening to (non-classical) music.

i have learned something new about myself audio books, lectures, documentaries conversations listening in on conversations are better for me having it play in the back ground while im cleaning or whatever it sticks to me better so a lot of people don't understand it or believe me but it comes in handy reading/listening to a book or lecture and i can still getting done round the house and pass a pop quiz if needed to
