Can you do multitask while reading

I can't even text and talk so I know I can't read and do something else. I get so zoned into the one activity I am doing.

No, I can't. I even forget to drink or eat when I am caught up in a good book. Maybe while hearing an audiobook I will do some other mundane work, but I can't do work that requires attention.

No way, for non fiction books. In the past I've tried it, but it caused neck strain and I ended up having to reread the book to grasp its contents. With novels it's a lot easier, but I try not to. I find it's hard to keep abreast of both tasks.

I can't understand a word if I am multitasking while reading. I will hear words but my brain just can't connect them to their meaning haha. I really have to take time just for reading and nothing else.

It depends on what I'm trying to do but usually I can. It's easy to watch television and read. Or if I'm picking up a room I can read with one hand and pick up with the other.
