Lord of the Flies or 1984?
I'm not a big fan of the classics (due to my short attention span), however the plot line to both stories seemed intriguing.
I'm a huge fan of dystopian future, and I was wondering which book would be an easier, more entertaining read.
Also, I'm a bit scared to read Lord of the Flies (people say there's animal abuse and it's very disturbing. Seriously can't handle too much of that) So tell me just how extreme that is.
PS I loved the Hunger Games, but its different than graphically slaughtering a helpless animal. They're just humans XD
Also, if you'd be willing to suggest an alternate book, please do so as well! ( I would post the url to the list but I'm a newbie to this website, so I can't)
AND THANK YOU!

I personally didn't like it but I know people who do so it's a toss up as far as recommending it to you. Of the three mentioned thus far I think Lord Of The Flies is my favorite.n3rdyandiknowit wrote:Also I just heard of another interesting read called "Brave New World." Have you read it? I prefer Brave New World to 1984 and Lord of the Flies. I remember reading that book in High School and I loved it. It spoke to me on some weird level. I did not get that with Lord of the Flies. I found it rather... boring? I guess you hear something is a classic and you think it must be amazing, but I was slightly disappointed. 1984 was not bad so I would suggest that one as well.n3rdyandiknowit wrote:Also I just heard of another interesting read called "Brave New World."
