What is the best book for a 15 year old boy to read?

The only thing I would add is that no matter what, keep exploring new genres. There's a book for everybody.
That said, I'll second Theodora's suggestion for Christopher Paolini's Inheritance trilogy, starting with Eragon. He wrote the first book when he was only 14, proving himself a natural artist and master of high fantasy.

okay since you are starting with your reading I will suggest the book series that inspired me to start reading
Note: That I have never read Harry potter or lord of the rings so I won't know how they are
How ever I really enjoyed the adventure series if Edin Blyton
She also had other series as the books witch unfortunately I could not read all of them
