But usually it doesn't happen, just when the book begins to be boring or when I'm worried about something.

What if it is a book you don't like, but has significance? I try, but if it just cant hold my interest, I don't bother anymore. Now, my mind is more disciplined to stay focused on reading. After the many expensive textbooks throughout college, it allowed me to work on my focus to actually read. If I were to remember the last time I blankly read, it would be in high school, which was 5 to 9 years ago.
