It used to happen a lot when trying to read my school books. Drop a novel in my lap and concentration is 100%.

Yeah it happens quite frequently. Initially it happened only with textbooks for me but now it happens while reading novels as well. I just blank out for as much as a page and then have to re-read. I suppose now attention span is pretty low.

Yes. That moment when you are reading then you remember that you're actually reading, lol. I've done it more times than I care to count.

That happens to me very often. I just get lost in thoughts while reading and most times, it starts from me just thinking about something that just happened in the book, then my thoughts trails off.

I have had this happen many times. I find that this happens if I am tired or if there is another book that I want to read but I have another book that needs to be finished first. I find that when this happens too often I grab a classic novel or a book that I read so many times I could quote it to read for a short time as it distracts my mind just enough to change my thinking.

I do this frequently. I usually catch myself starting to drift off in the same paragraph so I only have to reread that same paragraph again. Sometimes I have to reread that paragraph 3 times or more until I get focused enough to keep reading. Rarely do I have to put the book down to read later. I usually can get back into the reading grove.

It happened to me when I got an idea from a book or story, when I got solution of my problem and when I am upset.

If it sucks, I won't even bother re-reading it. I just fall asleep with boredom sometimes.

Quite often. When I'm reading, and then I realise I'M READING. And then I have to go over the same text again to get what was there.

Yes this happens to me! I usually realize while I’m on the same page but it’s annoying! I have to go back and reread it, makes it seem like I ‘m a slow reader to others I bet!

yeah I and other people go through the same thing such as sort of reading a couple of page but then spacing out and just staring at the page or whatever while something else is going on like watching a tv show or commercials on tv at the same tme.

Oh, this happens to me a lot. I usually notice pretty quickly, but I sometimes can read a whole page like this. It happens with a book I don't find particularly interesting, or when I have problems in my life.
