I don't. I know my mother does, she really cannot bear reading on if there is tension built up, so she just goes ahead and reads the last page. I confess that I have done it one or two times, the first just to see how it would feel to read a book like my mother does, the second time because it was boring and I needed to see if it was worth reading on.
But I generally don't do it and with many books, I feel like I don't have to, especially if it's a series (it creates this certainty that the characters will live on because they will reappear; sucks if the author uses that and kills them off anyway, I guess).

No! That should absolutely not be allowed. This should be against the laws of nature. On a more serious note, you would miss many important parts of the story which would have helped you better understand the ending if you skip to end of a book.

I did a lot when I was younger but now I force myself to hold out till the end as it is much more satisfying.

I absolutely do! Can't bear the tension sometimes. I read the last page (or chapter), then I go right back to where I stopped. Doesn't spoil the book for me.

Never! I get so tempted to jump ahead sometimes though! There are times where I even have to cover the next paragraphs with my hand so I don't sneak a peak.

I'm guilty of that but it mostly depends on the book's story line. If I don't find a book interesting I'd quickly take a peep at the last few pages to see if the book is worth finishing. But if the book is really interesting, nah I won't spoil the fun by taking a peep.

No, unless the book is awful and I just want to know the ending and be done with it. I think to read the ending, it takes away half the enjoyment of it.

I have done it in the past... guilty as charged! I would not consider doing that now.

Never!! I know some people who will always read the last page of the book first, and I can never understand that. To me it's absolutely sinful!

I used to when I was younger, but I grew out of the habit when I realized that despite reading the last page, I never remembered what happened.

Once upon a time, when I was a spring chicklit to reading. I would actually decide whether or not to read a book based on the last few pages. I have since quit doing this. I don't want to spoil myself anymore. However, I did have alot less disappointing endings back when I skipped right to the end.

No, I don’t think I’ve done that since childhood. It ruins the journey if I know more than the author intended the reader to know at that point in the story. Often the suspense is a significant element in enjoying the book.

Sometimes the suspense gets too much I want to have a peak at the last page but then I ask myself, “isn’t that what suspense’s all about?”
