Normally I go to Half Price Books or Barns and Noble. I also get books from online, at grocery stores, libraries and estate sales. I don't have a pefrence where I get my reading fix and I wonder who has loyalty to a certain place that I should check out. :D :tiphat: :techie-studyingbrown:

I get a lot of my books from a used bookstore nearby, but my friends and family also give many of my books to me. A friend recently told me that she has been getting a lot of newer books for low prices at a thrift store that I will have to check out.

My mom, my sister and I each have huge long lists of books. My mom likes to go to library sales and used book sales and she takes all our lists with her. I'll come home and find stacks of books. The books my mom won't get for me I get on amazon. I have free shipping with prime and I can get them pretty cheaply.

I mostly purchase my books from Half Price Books or Barnes and Noble. I borrow many books from my Mother-In-Law who has an entire room devoted as her library. I have recently started reading a lot more on my ereader and download free books from barnes and noble (I have a Nook).

I'm super cheap (and I don't have a lot of space in my room!) so I try to stick to either free ebooks or library books.

I really miss Borders though. They were my absolute fav.

Wherever I can get them :shhh:

Actually, a lot of places. I prefer physical books, and sometimes I actually prefer them used. A used book has a history to it and I like that.

Usually, my books come from my Kindle app on my phone, but I have been recently buying books off EBay since it is cheaper than Barnes and Nobel.

I buy my books mostly on Amazon, both e-books and traditional ones. I also enjoy perusing old-fashioned book stores, although usually they are pricier.

If anyone here doesn't know about thriftbooks.com, they should check it out!!

Most of the books are around $3-4, and I believe once you get over $10 worth in your cart, shipping is free!
I use it to get textbooks as well. They may be a few versions behind the current one, but the information is mostly the same anyways!

Thriftbooks.com is amazing!! I think the first book I got was The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's nest for about $4 and was shocked when the package came in and it was a huge hardcover! What a deal :)

Besides that site, I also hit up my local new and used book store and library book sales and Barnes and Nobles every now and then.

My problem with thriftbooks.com is that when I tried to create an account, the website refused to believe my email address was legitimate. So obviously, that put me off the site unfortunately. I ended up only saving a few dollars comparatively when I shopped on Amazon,t hey sell second hand as well.
