I've been avid reader since I was a teenager. My mom and older sisters were readers, so there were always many books around the house. The first book I remember reading was The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. I loved it! I credit that book for launching my journey into the wonderful word of reading.

Same, me too. In school, I used to think about how can people read books with no pictures. It might be boring. In the late years of schooling, I got fond of reading.

I began reading way back in elementary school but did not take it seriously. These were children's books with graphics to illustrate the stories. Enter high school and duh! books provided my perfect escape plan from bullies. Look i was introverted but didn't know it because i thought i was shy. Being shy in my school then was a sure-fire way for being intimidated and considered inferior. I found my perfect friend and i have never regrated or broken this relationship.

Yes. My parents tell that I had my nose in a book always. According to them, even when there were no new books, I used to reread the books I had countless times.

I didn't have a lot of friends in elementary so during lunch while everyone was hanging out with their friends I was reading.

Loving my company, I've always love reading. Reading compensated for the times I could not go out with others.

I liked reading when I was young; I really enjoyed reading children books and I would read them over and over again, but then I stopped reading for many years...probably until I got to high school and that's when my love for reading was reignited; I haven't stopped since then!

Yes, I was always a reader, and thank goodness for that because I always needed to escape somehow. I sometimes think that books saved my life.

Nope. I wasn't born into a family that was aware of the importance of literacy. I only started reading frequently during my university years. Especially because English is not my mother language, initially, I struggled due to the language barrier. But over time, I found it easier to understand and enjoy my readings.

There was this interest to read books in my subconscious mind somewhere. But I would say that I have kind of become a reader recently. And thanks to God's grace—I am here in this club! :tiphat:
