Oh, I had never really analyzed it; but paperback seems more comfortable to read and carry, the hardcover is more durable. Anyway, I must say that I enjoy both.

Hardbacks are beautiful and look nice on the shelf but my hands and arms become unbelievably sore when holding so I'm gonna have to go with paperback.

I'm getting a hang of both. I love both. I started reading ebooks this year and my experience has been fabulous. Believe me!

I am definitely a hardcover girl I don't like my book to get ruined even though I don't find them in that format every time
Recite in the name of your Lord who created [*] Created man from a clinging substance [*] Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous [*] Who taught by the pen [*] Taught man that which he knew not.

Hardcover all the way. I love the aesthetic on a bookshelf.

Paperbacks all the way. They are so adorable!
I won't prefer to buy hardcovers of all the books because it simply just doesn't make any sense.

I usually buy paperback whenever I have to choose between them.
If some book is available only in hardcover, I buy it too.
This time, due to some glitch in Amazon's algorithm, I was getting A Woman Makes A Plan by Maye Musk in hardcover format at cheaper price than paperback. I readily purchased it.

I prefer paperback books for sure! I have the feeling of a hard cover, they have just never appealed to me. Any chance I get, I buy paperback

I prefer paperbacks over hardcover as they are lighter. It is easier to hold a paperback as I have habit of lying down when I read. I get tired of holding hardcovers for long and my fingers pain.

If I can afford it, I'd go for a hardcover. They're tougher and could withstand my little one's curious explorations while trying to regain my full attention while I thought he's still preoccupied with something else.

Either of the two, as long as the book is an interesting one.

I like the size and feel of the trade paperbacks best in my hands, plus they fit on my shelves better than hardcovers because they are shorter. Mass market paperbacks are my least favorite because of they are so compact and stiff to open.
