Paperback or Hardcover?

A tough debate for me. I own plenty of paperback and hardcover books, and I don't have an issue with any of the designs. I must point out, though, that hardcovers offer more support for the hand while you're reading, alongside with the fact that the cover doesn't get damaged after prolonged use. For example, a paperback's cover might get bent or torn while being carried in a bag. I've had plenty of paperbacks suffer because of my backpack, which upsets me. I haven't found a foolproof solution for this issue yet, and will be looking forward to receiving feedback on how I can save my paperbacks
