I prefer paperback or e-books for the easy access they provide. Paperback is my ultimate favorite because I just love the smells of the pages of books. And also paperback is easy to handle as I tend to read while travelling and laying down. But considering durability I'd say hardcover is the choice.

I would say for aesthetics, hardcovers usually win. However, I am not a big fan of dust jackets. I like how they make paperbacks in Brazil where the dust jacket is replaced by flaps on the insides of the front and back covers.

Hardcovers! They cost more, but I prefer how sturdy they are. Plus, many of them have beautiful artwork inside the dustcovers, they're so hard to resist.

This is a tricky question because it depends on where I am going to be reading the book. If I am taking a few books on holiday then I always take paperbacks. They have to be books that I don't mind potentially being ruined. If it is one to read at home then I prefer hardback. I love the look and feel of hardback books and they are stronger so will stand the test of time.

I prefer both as each style has its own use and design. But in terms of whichever is likable more, then my answer would be paperback as it is light in weight as compared to hardback. Also it also contributes to the overall design of the book.

You better be careful who you show that photo to, movie producers will be pounding on your door. :)

Hardcover books are very indulgent, but it is so annoying when you go to pick one up or you are reading it and the shelve moves isn’t aligned with the book.

I prefer hardcover because they keep their shape and are easier to place on bookshelves. Also, the print is usually larger than paperbacks and easier to read.

I don't have a preference as long as I can just read. I must admit though, this past year I have only been reading online and haven't read any paperback or hardcover book. It is just easier and faster to get a book online. I do prefer an actual book that I can hold, smell and page through than an online version. This will never change!

Each book require a specific design and cover touch. For me, I like both as it helps me handle the book in a more engrossed way.

If it is a book from a series that I'm in love with, or a book I'm planning on keeping for a good while, hard. If it is to read before bed, definitely soft. I have had to have my glasses repaired more than once because they have met some of my hardbacks in a surprising and sudden way. :/
