I have come to love paperbacks more than hardbacks due to their versatility and flexibility. I can bend them to fit my needs when I am sitting up, while riding, and when laying down. I can also put them under my pillow and not feel the lump of a hardback.

I like both types as well, though I do prefer paperback because I find them easier to hold and manipulate. They don’t look as nice on shelves, but books are meant to be enjoyed, not just looked at, in my opinion.

Definitely hardcover. First, because of the aesthetic(it looks better in a shelf). Plus it last longer in terms of durability compared to paperback.

Paperback! Hard cover makes me think of being non-flexible and when I read, I need to keep that book open at all times and not worry about the bindings!! I still prefer, on occasion, a book in my hand instead of a reader.

I love both paperback and hardcover. But hardcover is a bit hard to handle in some positions while paperback is quiet flexible to handle in any place specially while travelling. And also a less expensive option compared to hardcover.

Hardcovers look nicer, but paperback is cheaper. So I’m for paperback.

Paperbacks because they are cheaper and easier to handle. They also don't take up a lot of space.

I prefer paperbacks. I think the main reasons are that they tend to be a bit cheaper to buy, and also I find the sleeves of hardback books to be quite annoying sometimes! That said, I do adore temporarily taking the sleeve off to look at the spine as they look so fancy!

I prefer hardcover because they are more sturdy for long-term keeping. They also look nice on a bookshelf.

It doesn't matter to me, but if I really have to choose, I'll choose Hardcover because of its durability.

I suppose hardcovers but both are fine as long as they are floppy. I also prefer some books paperback and some hardcover. It probably depends on what version I saw first but some books feel weird as the other version to me.
