Paper backs cause they are affordable and super easy to carry when you travel and weigh less while holding not at all a hurdle while handling them. But hardcovers are supremacy.

I'd prefer paperback when I'm travelling because it's easier to carry and read as well, but as we all know paperback do tear fast if not handled properly so if it's a small book I'll go for paperback otherwise a hardcover.

Paperback for flexible reading. Hardbacks for bookshelf and maybe durability?

Because sometimes paperback are a whole lot more durable than paperbacks..

I don't have a strict preference, but it depends on which book I'm reading, if that makes sense? For example, if it's a book I'm neutral towards, or if it's a book that I've picked up from a book sale, then I'm okay with either paperbacks or hardcovers. But, if it's a book that I love and want to have on my bookshelf and display, then I would actively prefer hard-covers.
To be honest, I read most of my books on the Kindle - it's easier to get the books I want on the Kindle, so the only time I buy books now are either from second-hand bookstores/sales, or if they're hard-cover books that I love and want to own and keep - like the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, or the Bartimaeus Sequence by Jonathan Stroud, or His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (yes, I'm a huge fan of fantasy novels).

I would definitely opt for a hardcover. The book design and the feel of the book is good . But of course they are always expensive then paperbacks. If you are a book collector, you would prefer hardcovers

I prefer paperbacks as they don't hurt so much when dropped on your face while reading in bed :)

I love hardcover. I like the look of it, the jacket covers, they look great on my shelf. I really enjoy having my series' in hardcover. However, I tend to go with paperback for a few reasons.
1. more affordable. I can't really afford to be buying all hardcover sadly
2. its more lightweight. I have carpal tunnel and so its nearly impossible to hold on to anything but a paperback with one hand
3. I really like the sizing of paperbacks. I like that i can buy one that fits in my purse no trouble.

I like both Paper backs & Hard cover. But Paper backs are way more cheaper than hard cover and are easily avaialble for impatient reader like me.

I like paperbacks while traveling or while I'm reading outside and I like hardcovers while I'm reading at home. Hardcovers looks beautiful but paperbacks are easy to handle. :techie-studyingbrown:

I'd go for hardcover any day, they're exquisite. But I'm broke so paperbacks to rescue the day, hehe.

I find myself enjoying a good hardcover book as it is easy on the fingers and provides ample support when I am reading in weird sitting positions.

Paperback mostly. Hardcovers can be a little too stiff for me.

I prefer hardcover. I am not sure why that is, but it feels good to have a solid book in my hand while reading. I will use paperback if there is a big price difference or if it is a borrowed book, but I prefer hardcover.
