just wondering

Post by Livinglifeinpeace »

Since I've never done this sort of thing before I was wondering if anybody has done an actual reading group...you take however many people want to join and you pick maybe 3 or 4 books you want to read a month and then you have general discussions about each book once everyone finishes them...it may sound kind of corny but does anyone on this site do that?

Check with your local bookstores. I know groups like this often meet in the stores.

Personally, I don't like voting on what I'll be reading. I like to read whatever I'm in the mood for. But, alot of people are into these groups!

Do you mean for fiction books or non fiction. I would feel a bit weird having more than a 5 or 10 minute discussion about a non fiction book. However a book on a subject that all the participants are genuinely interested in could promote a very interesting group discussion. Good luck!

I think you might want to check with your local library-- they may have such activities already lined up!

Do we now have such group in this present time? I don't think it's a bad idea but I have not seen it here on this forum.
If you are having a bad day, let people see that you are having a good day...Spread good vibes, people are going through a lot already. :tiphat:

It could be a good idea, if you get people interested in the same genre and topics for books
