I found a new author and have really loved her books, her name is Lucinda Berry. I read The Perfect Child first and it was FANTASTIC! So I had to go on to read more of her books, I then read When She Returned and it was also amazing. So now I am on my 3rd one of her books within 2 weeks  I just started reading Under Her Care. Will update to let you know if it lives up to all her other books!

I am reading "Sentimental Education" by Gustave Flaubert. So far it's nice, even though I don't like the idea of characters in films, shows, or books making cheating appropriate. The book by itself does seem good so far.

I've been reading the first issue comics I got at a secondhand store. My favorite would either be Agents of Atlas: Dark Reign Issue 1 or The Grimoire Issue 1. The raccoon is the best part of the later. Main character seems likable, and I'd be curious to see what else she summons with her magic book. As for Dark Reign, it has a lot going on. The comic has two stories. One is in the past and includes Wolverine. I'm most curious to see more of Venus though.

Two of the other comics I didn't care much for. I could keep them just because they are in near mint condition, but I feel someone else would enjoy them much more than I did. So, I'll bring them back.

I just finished eating Killing Abel. That book is full of surprises and I cannot believe the things my eyes saw. That book so interesting and at some point, I forgot that it's inspiration is the Bible

Chinese Fairy Tales & Legends by Richard Wilhelm and Frederick H. Martens

I just read a story from this collection called The Kindly Magician. It's about a flawed man who becomes better and then undergoes a ritual that could give him immortality. He is told the only thing he must do is remember that all he sees and feels is a deception and to not react verbally to it. I won't spoil what happens, but suffice it to say he was unable to completely conquer his emotions.

I find it fascinating that part of his trial is to live as a woman. It is not clearly indicated, but it may be a hidden meaning, that he must acquire a fuller knowledge of human experience to become an immortal divine.
