I like books by Brad Thor and Clive Cussler and so far have not found anything else real good to read. What do you recommend?

[Moderation Note: Thread moved to general section because new threads in the "Reviews, Recommendations and Warnings" section must be limited to one book or series per thread. All others must be posted in the sticky thread for that genre or in a different section. Please see the new forum rules for the recommendations section. Thank you.]

You might like James Clavell. Check out Shogun or Tai-Pan, both are awesome.

If you like books that have some action, history, and adventure, try reading Wilbur Smith. Good thick long stories that keep you locked into them so you won't want to put them down.
I have read most of his books twice. And I NEVER read books twice. Well....almost never.
His epic story of the Courtney family has everything from pirates to farmers and even a woman convict in them. Family feuds, Arabian Knights and even Templars. He knows how to weave a tale that you can't put down.

Well I don't think it is necessary for a good novel to have history in it/ A good action/adventure is really all I need.

If you are looking for nonstop action you can't go wrong with Matt Reilly.

Author of such amazing novels as Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow and Temple.

Plus others. All really good. Not much character development buts lots of action, cliffhangers and twists.
