What was a book you could not put down

Post by thereadingsloth »

I love a book that can hook you so hard that you don't want to put it down until it is finished!
Even if it is not in a typical genre that I read, if somebody tells me about a book with THAT much power I have to give it a read.

Am I the only one who feels that way?

What books/book have you read that you just could not put down :techie-studyinggray:

Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson, happened to be one of those books for me.

A book that gripped me from the opening page to the closing words is 'The Ghormenghast Trilogy' by Mervyn Peake. This outclasses Tolkein for me by a thousand miles...

A book that I could not put down myself was the Divergent series. This is not a typical book I would read but I could not put it down. I was so in touch with the characters that I felt I was part of the book! I love when a book takes you away from reality, even if it just for a little bit!

The first book I remember staying up late to read and waking up early to pick up was The Witching Hour by Anne Rice.

Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows. I waited for a long time and finished it in two overnighters while attending school in the morning.

It is hard to reply. But, I think 'The Book Thief by Markus Zusak' and 'The Godfather by Mario Puzo' are two of the many books that I could not put down.
