The book that made me cry like a baby is “The Notebook” by Nicholas Sparks. I cried so hard my husband thought something bad had happened. I was crying so hard I couldn’t talk lol.

I forgot to mention Redeeming Love made me cry for days. It’s a book you can read over and over. The movie never does the book justice but I thought they covers it pretty well. Another book is The Shack that book grabbed my heart and wouldn’t let go.

"It ends with us" by Colleen Hoover. Ugh... I felt different emotions, but generally I felt sad. I cried all over again
"Hard journey of the heart: Jesse's Story" by Mark Zullo. Guys, it was really sad. I felt Jesse's pain, I just wanted to jump into the book, hug him so tightly and suck his heartaches away.
Another one is Piece of Cake. It's been a long time since I read the book, so I can't remember the author's name. It was so emotional, and relatable on every level.

I've never cried over a book, but A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman and A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness almost did!

Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper had me weeping in the library. Highly recommend this touching and emotional story of a young girl with cerebral palsy.

Wow. There are lots of books that made me cry, but I'm just going to mention my favorite which is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Schbosky. I cried a lot because this book really touched me and talks about very strong society problems.

I will cry at books that are not even that sad. The last ones I remember that got to me were: What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon, Full Tilt and All In by Emma Scott, and One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Life Is Beautiful by Roberto Benigni is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I wept while watching the film too.
The most recent book I've read from this site is Goods & Effects by Al Schnupp and I found that to be very cathartic because of how well grief after bereavement is described.

A book that made me cry is the fault in our stars by John Green. I always knew it was a sad book and I heard the movie was sad too but I hadn't seen it yet. I read the book first and I had to say I wasn't prepared to have such a lovely character go.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I don't want to get into the details so I don't ruin it for those who haven't read it yet but I know now that love can be painful
