For me, I will never forget how I sobbed at the end of Where the Red Fern Grows. I was in third grade and I cried, I weeped uncontrollably at the end.

Many of Robin Hobb's books have made me cry including Fool's Errand.
I am not someone who searches out books for that kind of cathartic release, but every so often the right book will just hit you when you least expect it.
