So many options to pick from!!!!

I remember there was this website that I used to get books from and they had a section for 'biggest tearjerkers' and I'd just go there and get as much books as possible and read till I became one with sadness. Lol.

I reallllllllly miss those times.

I hope I’m not being rude, but why??? I understand wanting to dig into your feels sometimes but why would you want to live in only the sadness of the feels? I really do want to know if you don’t mind sharing. If you don’t want to explain or it’s private that’s fine too, don’t feel pressured to answer. You just surprised and piqued my curiosity.

28 Summers by Elin Hilderbrand had me UGLY-crying! I couldn’t stop if I wanted to. My husband heard me and rushed into the room thinking I’d gotten news that someone we knew had died. Through my wrecking sobs, I could only manage to point at the book and howl. Oh, that book had me in a depressed state for days! Amazing love story, but I don’t think I could read it again.

Thank you for answering. I understand that, I think I identify with loneliness/outcasts/the misunderstood people more than anything.

My mom is a reader too and she either reads mysteries or tear jerkers too so I can understand that. She’s a passionate person whose feelings run close to the surface but she hates crying about stuff in front of anyone but me. I think reading the books gives her a way to be “in her feels” without feeling weak.

In “the Prodigal Comes Home” I cried a lot at how hard Michael’s life was and what all happened to him.
This! It is the only book that completely destroyed me. I wanted to read it to know what all of the hype was about, and it really hit me. I don't consider myself a particularly religious person, but I believe the lessons transcend those boundaries. Definitely a heartbreaker.

The clockwork prince almost had me but I didn’t quite cry… it had a happy note to it because everyone still got what they needed even if some had a harder road than others and I could see how that was playing out while the sad parts were happening.
