I do this. I love the feeling of starting a reading journey with no expectations. It feels like a fresh start.

If my memory serves me right, I have never delved deep into a book without having any idea what it's about.

Whether it's a book from an author I've never heard about or a part of a well-known series, I need to read at least the blurb before diving deep.

Often when reading books on this website, I don't really know what's inside the book other than what I read in the description. I enjoy the unexpected surprises from these readings.

I do this all the time and I must say you are correct, it is us who read series . I prefer just going straight to the book without knowing the author or anything but I am very consistent with my favorite genre which is thriller, mystery and crime. I always expect the author to do the hard work ...keep me reading.
