Not all non-fiction is boring though. Some are so funny and full of adventure. I read one a while back (i do not remeber the title, but when I do, i will let you know).LauraH wrote: ↑09 Oct 2009, 08:52 I like to read fiction books- though realistic fiction is what they used to call it.
I read it because it has the ability (if the author is good) to transport my mind to another place, another time, and to borrow the other person's life for a few hours. I like it when I can learn something about myself from the characters, and when there is an overall "lesson learned" by the end of the story.
I don't like to read non-fiction because it is too boring, IMO.
I don't like self help books either, because I like to figure things out on my own.
I typically don't like sci-fi or fantasy either, but lately I've been finding myself meandering toward that genre. Wonder what I will end up reading next?
