My favorite genre is non-fiction books. I love the facts, the real stories, and the authenticity. I always crave it.

Yes, I read non-fiction. I think that non-fiction is ultimately necessary for the proper enjoyment of fiction. I love thrillers the most. Non-fiction helps me to understand the history, science, and politics that is contained in thrillers. Likewise, non-fiction about psychoanalysis, psychology, and neuroscience helps me to understand romances. What would I do with a thriller or romance that I did not understand without non-fiction at my side? I think that knowledge of non-fiction makes respectable habits.

In the past, I loved to read newspapers. I think that current events are very exciting! In fact, current events have propelled me to read many non-fiction books. For instance, my past experiences reading The New York Times led me to read many current histories such as Bedlam: A Year in the Life of a Mental Hospital by Dominick Bosco and Dangerous Waters: Modern Piracy and Terror on the High Seas by John S. Burnett. Current histories fuel my desires to read fiction.

I believe that individual psychologies are made complete by facts and fictions. It is very true that psychologies are made from facts. Literal behaviors like eating and exercise have serious importance in our lives. Additionally, fictions comprise a serious component in our lives. There are times when fears and loves are overwhelming. Fictions are generated to describe figurative aspects of fears and loves. The combination of facts and fictions direct individuals to recognize and understand the surrounding world in human ways.

While some may view non-fiction books as dry or boring, I have come to appreciate the power of a well-written non-fiction book to engage and captivate readers.
